University Fellowships Office

UFO helps NC State’s undergraduate students, graduate students, and alums learn of and apply for nationally competitive and prestigious awards.

First-Year Inquiry Program

FYI offers general education courses featuring active learning opportunities exclusively to first-year students with instructors who have special training in developing students’ critical and creative thinking skills.

University Advising

Provides quality advising services to undergraduate students to assist with major selection, career awareness, academic success, and personal enrichment.

Exploratory Studies

Gives first-time freshmen the opportunity to choose a major after a guided, structured process for major and career exploration and transition to the University.

Global Perspectives Certificate

Encourages NC State undergraduate students to pursue their international interests, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Health and Exercise Studies

Offers a variety of both activity and lecture courses. HES also provides four academic minors including Coaching Education, Health, Outdoor Leadership and Sports Science.

Department of Performing Arts and Technology

Provides broad-based educational opportunities through a variety of musical and dance experiences and introductory and upper-level courses. Concerts and performances are open to students and the public.

Navigate NC State

Navigate NC State is a suite of advising tools combining advising services, real-time data, analytics, and reporting to help advisors identify students in need of support and provide early interventions.

Provides hands-on, immersive, life-long learning skills to the NC State community to support research, enhance critical thinking through creativity, and strengthen personal and professional development.

University Theatre

Provides high-impact educational and artistic experiences for NC State students by staging top-quality theatrical productions and providing expert production services for live events.
